Edric Ong ‘PUA KUMBU’ Collection
Renowned Malaysian Designer Edric Ong presents his ‘PUA KUMBU’ Collection at the World Ikat Textiles Symposium (WITS) in Khon Kaen, Thailand.

The collection features the latest handwoven ‘Pua Kumbu’ warp ikat textiles of the women weavers of Rumah Garie longhouse, Ulu Kapit, Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo.
These textiles are all in natural dyes such as brown from engkudu (morinda citrifolia), blue from tarum (marsdenia tinctoria) and yellow from Akar Penawar Landak (fibraurea tinctoria).

Edric’s unique eclectic styling of transcultural textiles, hand crafts, accessories come together into an evolved fashion statement! He combines hand-woven silks and cottons with handcrafted rattan necklaces and his signature rattan ‘Topi Tunjang’ hats.

The EO brand by Edric Ong is in the forefront of Eco-Fashion and Slow Fashion, consciously working with communities of weavers and crafts artists to create and market ‘hand-made’ designs.

EDRIC ONG showcases going on at international platforms like Fashion London of London Fashion Week, Aspara FashionWeek, Mercedes Benz of Stylo International Fashion Week in Malaysia, the Biennale World Eco Fiber and Textile International Fashion Show in Malaysia
